Sometimes there are complaints that the procedure requires replacement earlier than the stated period of 2-3 months. This can happen not only in case of unprofessional specialist work, but also as a result of rules violation of care for the added strands.
At Ivana Farisei beauty salon, hair extensions are available for short, thin, sparse hair, as well as keratin straightening.
Our specialists have extensive experience and high qualification skills, so you won't have to wait long to become a beauty.

Can I wash my hair with hair extensions?

Washing your hair is not only allowed, but also recommended as a mandatory hygiene procedure. A lot of sebum can destroy keratin. Thus, for such ‘specific’ cases, a special washing technique is required so as not to spoil the hairstyle. What to do and how to do it:
  • How often should you wash your hair with extensions? - 2-3 times a week.
  • Immediately after extensions, it’s important to keep your hair dry for about 48 hours.
  • What to wash hair extensions with? - a mild shampoo without oil, creatine, olaplex, and other active substances. It’s good to use a sulfate-free detergent.
  • Apply the shampoo from root to tip, then leave it for a couple of minutes.
  • Use water at a warm temperature, never hot.
  • You should shampoo your hair twice, with your hair in an upright position, as it can get tangled when you toss it. It’s better to remove excess moisture with a frictionless towel.
  • Apply the mask over the entire length, excluding the bonds themselves, and leave it on for 3-5 minutes. Rinse off and remove water as before.
  • Apply oil or silicone protection for 5 minutes, going around the bonds again, and then blow-dry with barely warm air from a hairdryer. The hair on the back of the head dries faster, so it should be lifted and secured at the top to prevent it from drying out. The rest of the hair is dried with combing as needed.
  • Never go to bed with a wet head, dry it and braid it in a loose braid.
  • Gentle combing 2-4 times during the day is recommended to prevent tangles.
The best way to wash hair with extensions has been described, but it’s also important to avoid visiting saunas, solariums, and direct sunlight. But don't worry, the sun's rays won't damage the strand attachment points. When swimming in the pool, wear a rubber cap, as chlorine also affects the hair bonding material.
